If you don't want to see it, you can turn it off by clicking the high task pane button. In fact, you can click the plus sign and even create new events this way. You can click on various dates and you can even scroll through and see your upcoming appointments. ![]() You can see your schedule and navigate through it. On the right hand side you can see something called my day, which is an almost fully functional calendar. ![]() ![]() For example here's where you can customize this toolbar menu and I'll be showing you how to do that later. And anywhere you see these three dots you can click on them to get another menu. And if you hover your mouse over it you can also create a new calendar event and a new contact. Directly below that you can click the blue button to create a new message. You can toggle the what's new screen on and off, anytime Outlook updates to see new features. To the right of that is the what's new screen and any activity that you've done in Outlook. Most things that you can access via various buttons and preferences in Outlook can also be found here, in these options. From here you can access preferences, the file menu, the edit screen, the message screen, and other tools that you can use. At the very top of the screen you have your file menu. So I do want to go through very quickly, just so you can be a little familiar with it, before we dive in completely. ![]() Before we dive in, this new interface of Outlook is very different than anything we've seen in a few years.
